南米の熱帯地域でブラジル南部とボリビア中部に及ぶ地域に分布。
(1)亜種 Ramphastos vitellinus culminatus Gould, 1833
Range: Lowlands of w Venezuela to n Bolivia and w Amaz Brazil.
ベネゼラ西部からボリビア北部とブラジルアマゾン地域西部に分布。
〇2019年09月20日、ペルーのタンボブランキーロ(Tambo Blanquillo)付近で観察。
