Range: Indian subcontinent, eastwards to southern China, the Malay Peninsula, Sumatra, western and central Java and northeast Borneo.
インド亜大陸から中国南部、マレイ半島、スマトラ、ジャワ島西部と中部、ボルネオ北東部に分布。
コガネゲラBuff-spotted Flamebac Chrysocolaptes lucidus を分離して種名変更。

Range: foothills in east central Nepal east to southern China (Yunnan) and south to Bangladesh, eastern India (south to southeastern Madhya Pradesh and northern Andhra Pradesh), Thailand and Indochina.
ネパール中部と東部から東に中国南部、南にバングラデシュ、インド東部、タイ、インドシナに分布。
2016年09月26日、タイ・カオヤイ国立公園で撮影。
