カイツブリ科 Podicipedidae
Range: Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Falkland Islands, Paraguay, Peru, and Uruguay.
アルゼンチン、ボリビア、ブラジル、チリ、フォークランド諸島、パラグアイ、ペルー、ウルグアイに分布する。

(1)亜種 Rollandia rolland chilensis (Lesson, 1828)
Range: S Peru and s Brazil to Tierra del Fuego and Cape Horn Arch.
ペルー南部とブラジル南部からティエラデルフエゴとホーン岬に分布。

2019年09月14日、ペルーのクスコ近郊のウアルカパイ(Huarcapay)湖で撮影。

2016年、ペルーにて現地ガイド氏が撮影。
