Range: humid forests in Central and South America (Choco-Magdalena), ranging from eastern Nicaragua to western Ecuador.
ニカラグア東部からエクアドル西部の湿潤森林に分布。

(1)亜種 Poliocrania exsul occidentalis Cherrie, 1891
Range: Pacific slope of Costa Rica and w Panama.
コスタリカとパナマ西部の太平洋側斜面に分布。
