Range: Costa Rica through South America to western Ecuador, Brazil, and northeastern Argentina. It also occurs on both Trinidad and Tobago.
コスタリカから南米のエクアドル西部、アルゼンチン北東部；トリニダード・トバゴに分布。
(1)亜種 Platyrinchus mystaceus cancromus Temminck, 1820
Range: E Brazil (Maranhao to Ceara, n Bahia and e Parana).
ブラジル東部に分布。
