Range: Central and South America from southeastern Mexico south to western Ecuador, northern Bolivia, central Brazil and the Guianas.
メキシコ南東部から中米、エクアドル西部、ボリビア北部、ブラジル中部、ギアナに分布。
(1)亜種 Microrhopias quixensis virgatus (Lawrence, 1863)
Range: SE Honduras and e Nicaragua to Costa Rica and Panama.
ホンジュラス南東部、ニカラガ東部からコスタリカとパナマにかけて分布。
2016年01月07日、コスタリカ・カララ国立公園で撮影。
