Range: southern Mexico to northwestern Peru, northern Brazil and Guyana, and also on Trinidad.
メキシコ南部からペルー北西部、ブラジル北部、ギアナ、トリニダードに分布。
(1)亜種 Lepidocolaptes souleyetii compressus (Cabanis, 1861)
Range: S Mexico (Veracruz and Chiapas) to w Panama.
メキシコ南部からパナマ西部に分布。
