オーストラリア東海岸・南東部に分布。
(1)亜種 Rhipidura rufifrons intermedia North, 1902
Range: E Queensland (Cooktown to NSW border); > to north.
クイーンズランド東部（クックタウンからNSWとの境界）に分布し、北部で越冬する。
〇2014年10月24日、オーストラリア・ケアンズで観察。
