フウキンチョウ科 Thraupidae
Range: tropical New World from southern Mexico south to Peru, Bolivia and central Brazil, Trinidad and Tobago, and on Cuba, where possibly introduced.
メキシコ南部からペルー、ボリビア、ブラジル中部、トリニダードトバゴの熱帯地域に分布する。キューバにも分布するが移入と考えられる。
(1)亜種 Cyanerpes cyaneus carneipes (Sclater, PL, 1860)
Range: Gulf slope of s Mexico to n Colombia; Coiba I. and Pearl Is.
メキシコ南部の湾岸斜面からコロンビア北部とコイバ島、パール諸島に分布。
2016年01月04日、コスタリカ・タラリ_マウンテン_ロッジで撮影。
2016年01月09日、コスタリカ・アレナル湖岸のホテル (Arenal Observatory Lodge) で雄を撮影。
